Pressotherapy or apparative lymphatic drainage
Pressotherapy is the term used to describe apparative lymphatic drainage – a kind of compression therapy that is performed with a lymphatic drainage device or pressotherapy machine and has a similar effect to manual lymphatic drainage. When performing a lymphatic drainage, metabolic processes are stimulated, which have a special effect on the lymphatic flow and stimulate it. Fluid accumulation and tissue congestion can be loosened, thereby reducing swelling.
The manual lymphatic drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage uses special grip and massage techniques, in which the lymph nodes are gently massaged to release excess fluid in the tissue and stimulate the lymphatic flow. The lymphatic channels run rather superficial, so that the lymphatic drainage is applied with a rather gentle approach, unlike a normal massage.
The pressotherapy device Eric® 2.2 can do EMS and deep heat
In addition to pressotherapy the new Eric® 2.2 can also be used for Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) as well as for the production of deep heat. These three different technologies can be used together as well as separately during treatment. In addition to the activation of the lymphatic flow, muscles can, for example, also be stimulated through EMS to promote muscle growth or boost fat burning and reducing cellulite by generating deep heat.

With the Eric® 2.2, individual body regions such as arms, stomach, legs and feet can be treated separately or at the same time. The different combination options of pressotherapy, Electro Muscle Stimulation and deep heat generation allows the treatment processes to be individually tailored to every customers specific needs. On average, each treatment session lasts about 30 minutes and is performed up to twice a week for optimal results. The total duration of a treatment cycle largely depends on the goals to be achieved, the customers wishes as well as the parallel or supportive treatments.
